I love the westerly wind, carrying the brewery’s soft scent; the castle’s stony silhouette, rising above the morning fog; and the Golf Tavern, a warm host to memories of precious moments with friends; the Italian aromas of Valvona and Crolla’s sacred food temple, but a street away from the crowd’s sonorous roar as Hibs secure three points; or scaling the heights of Arthur Seat as the wind grows stronger and the views more spectacular; and cycling down Dundas Street, secretly hoping it will never end. I can’t help but love Edinburgh.
